THE BRAHMANANDA TANTRA

Invocation

May the elephant faced Lord Ganesh bring real sweetness into our life.

1. The Brahmananda Tantra springs from pure consciousness. The Brahmananda Tantra is pure consciousness. The Brahmananda Tantra dissolves into pure consciousness. Pure consciousness has assumed the form of the Brahmananda Tantra.

2. Brahmananda is the fulfillment of the unknown desire. Hidden under, above, behind, within and without, all-pervading but unseen is the supreme ecstasy. That is Brahmananda.

3. Tantra is the tool that can be used to realise the Self. The Self is the substratum on which life rests. Obscured by the mind, the intelligence and the ego, the ecstasy of the Self remains unknown.

4. Life is the process that is experienced by the senses, in the mind differentiated by the intelligence, limited by the ego and ecstatic in the unlimited Self. This life is united as one.

5. From the first original god and the expansions to the worlds with their inhabitants and objects, all are living this One life. Life is free to be manifested or to be unmanifested.

6. Life observes itself through all the different egos. Forgetting their common interest, the egos engage in conflict. and loose the ecstasy of the Self. In the individual the ego dominates the Self.

7. The purpose of the manifested world is to lead to the fulfillment of desires and to ultimate liberation. The practice of the Brahmananda Tantra Sadhana reminds the ego how to participate in this.

8. The practice of the Sadhana is two fold, the result of achievement is One - supreme ecstasy of eternal being in absolute freedom. This practice burns the candle of ignorance from both ends.

9. One side of this practice consists of actions on the basis of the realisation of the unity of life, action that is conducive to the wellbeing of all living beings. This leads to the realisation of the unity of life.

10. The other side of the Sadhana is the enquiry into the origin of the ego. The senses transmit their information to the mind. The intelligence in the mind discriminates and the ego decides what it thinks it is.

11. One moment the ego thinks it is happy, next it thinks it is intelligent, then it may identify with something even greater than itself. The ego may find origins of identifications but its own origin cannot be thought.

12. The ego is the individual limitation of the One Self which is the life of all manifested and unmanifested being. When the ego surrenders its limitations to the Self the individual experiences the ecstasy of the unity of life.

13. This ecstatic experience is known as Samadhi. This Samadhi is pure consciousness. Purified by Samadhi the consciousness is free to remain in eternally increasing ecstasy or to reappear in the manifested worlds aiming to manifest this ecstasy.

14. If this is done in a way which is conducive to the wellbeing of all, the practice of the Sadhana meets with success. In this way both sides of the Sadhana culminate in One ecstasy.

15. A little bit of practice leads to small results, occasional practice leads to bigger results, constant practice of the Brahmananda Tantra Sadhana leads to liberation and is the occupation of the free.

16. The Self, the worlds and consciousness are One. Their apparent difference is the cause of conflict, their unity is the supreme ecstasy. The direct perception of this is Brahmananda.
